Michael S. Patterson Chairman, President & CEO |
Mike began his banking career with First Citizens Bank
in Raleigh. He later joined Rocky Mount-based Peoples Bank as Wilson City
Executive and ultimately became Executive Vice President and Executive Officer
of the bank and the holding company in Rocky Mount and President and CEO of
Peoples Bank of the Triad in Winston Salem. In 1990 he joined Triangle Bank in
Raleigh as President and Chief Operating Officer, subsequently becoming Chief
Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board. He served in those capacities until
the bank was sold to Centura Banks, Inc. in 2000, where he served as Chairman of
the Board until it sold to the Royal Bank of Canada in 2001. Before leading the
effort to start CapStone Bank, he worked as a consultant to community banks,
primarily in the area of merger and acquisition strategies. |
